Stanley Grange Community Association celebrates 5 Years!

In July 2020 residents and staff celebrated 5 years since Stanley Grange Community Association saved the Stanley Grange estate from closure. Although Covid-19 restrictions meant celebrations had to be scaled back, residents and carers from Future Directions were still able to celebrate this momentous anniversary.

The Stanley Grange Community Association (SGCA) Friends and Family Forum arranged for balloons and decorations to be delivered to each home and there was music, dancing and even specially made commemorative cakes from Flecks Cakes in Darwen.

‘Even though Covid-19 meant our planned celebrations couldn’t happen, we are delighted that residents and the staff still got to enjoy a 5th Anniversary party. So much has changed at Stanley Grange over the last five years, and it is important to reflect and celebrate how much has been achieved. A huge thank you to our supporters, members of the friends and family forum, volunteers, board members and all the staff at Future Direction. Together we are creating a vibrant community for everyone who lives here.’ – David Wilks.
