Our Partnership

Since October 2015, when the Stanley Grange Community Association (SGCA) took over Stanley Grange, we have enjoyed a successful collaborative working relationship with Future Directions a high-quality social care service provider in the North West, who became our chosen partner.

Future Direction is a values-based organisation where staff ‘go the extra mile’ to ensure that every resident lives a fulfilling life with a support package that meets their individual support needs.

Inspected by the Care Quality Commission in March 2020, Future Directions was given a CQC rating of Good with Outstanding Care for the delivery of services at Stanley Grange. The report highlighted;

‘People (residents) were supported by staff who were incredibly kind and caring and who maintained their dignity and privacy and treated them with respect. People (residents) were fully involved in the service and had opportunities to give feedback. People’s (residents’) needs and wishes were fully met by staff that knew them well and were passionate about people’s (residents’) independence. People (residents’) were respected and valued as individuals and empowered as partners in their care with exceptional service.’

Our partnership with Future Directions is based on a shared vision of creating a vibrant and life-enriching community where residents have personal choices with supportive staff, who adapt and react to the changing needs of the individual.

The partnership between the SGCA and Future Directions is managed by a detailed contract and partnership agreement. SGCA owns and manages the upkeep and ongoing development of buildings and land, with Future Directions providing all care and support.

In 2020 Stanley Grange welcomed a new full-time Activities Coordinator, Kevin Phoenix in a role made possible initially thanks to The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund and more recently The National Lottery Fund. Kevin’s role has enabled the residents to enjoy a variety of vibrant and creative activities, especially during the Covid-19 lockdown. Learn more about our activities programme here.
