On Wednesday 13 October, a coach will leave Stanley Grange taking a party of VIPs to the Care Show at the NEC in Birmingham as part of winning Championing Social Care’s Care Sector’s Got Talent competition. The expenses paid trip for the people who live here and those who support them will enable as many as possible to join in the Stronger Together Choir to perform at the show. This is a fitting testimony to the challenges of running activities during lockdown and going above and beyond to keep people connected and positive in the most difficult of circumstances.
The judges said: ‘We felt the winning entry beautifully captured the spirit of togetherness, a message that has been so important in recent times… ’
We are grateful to the National Lottery for enabling us to work with Future Directions to employ Kevin for five years to run a diverse range of activities. We will be including this successful partnership result in our evaluation report back to the Lottery at the end of the March next year.
